Dr Naresh Sachdev - Director cum Principal

Dr. Naresh Sachdev is currently working as Professor cum Director at Punjab College of Technical Education, Baddowal and along with this eminent role in academics, he is currently the Chair of Student Forum Joint Secretary at Ludhiana Management Association affiliated unit of All India Management Association, New Delhi. With over an entrepreneurial experience of more than three decades, Dr. Naresh Sachdev possesses comprehensive expertise in Sales, Marketing, Customer Relations, Industry Knowledge, Product Expertise, Operational Management, Human Resource Management, Finance, and Accounting.
He has held prominent leadership roles in the Fastener Manufacturer Association of India (FMAI) for 25 years, representing the association on both national and international platforms. Armed with an MBA in Management, Dr. Sachdev is driven to excel in sales, marketing, and operations, aiming to bring his extensive experience to new challenges. Dr. Sachdev is proudly a tinkerpreneur and a Mentor for Change at NITI Aayog, New Delhi and has also been conferred with the title of GEMS of MENTOR India by Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) 2023-2024.

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Owner, Manufacturing Enterprise (30 Years): Dr. Sachdev directed a fastener manufacturing unit specializing in iron and steel materials, located in Focal Point, Ludhiana. He managed a business with a turnover of INR 8/10 Crores, overseeing all aspects of operations including manpower management, sales generation, and customer management across India. He implemented cost-cutting measures and value-adding processes to enhance margins and ensure quality products.
  •  Professor & Director, PCTE Group of Institutes (8 Years): As a professor in Business Management since 2015, and recently promoted to Director, Dr. Sachdev has combined theoretical knowledge with practical entrepreneurial experience to enhance the educational experience for students. His role involves academic leadership, curriculum development, and fostering an environment of practical learning.

  • Vice President, General Secretary, and Finance Secretary of FMAI: Dr. Sachdev held these positions for a combined total of 25 years, playing a crucial role in driving strategic initiatives, policy advocacy, and industry representation.
  • Lectures and Delegations: Dr. Sachdev delivered lectures on MSME topics under the STEP (GNDEC) EDP program by Punjab Government and at the Beijing Chamber of Commerce in China.
