PCTE Group of Institutes“Koshish” an intra-college level cultural-cum-literary function, held in the month of September-October every year, in line with developing the confidence and providing exposure to the students. Parents of the students of PCTE are invited as guests, and eminent personalities from Industry and Academics are also be invited to motivate the students.
There are two separate trophies for winners.

CULTURAL EVENTS
Group Events
NUKKAD NATAK: 8-12 participants are allowed to participate. Time allowed 6-10 minutes. Props are not allowed but musical instruments are allowed. Own theme (based on social problems). Offensive language is not allowed. Banners & posters are allowed.
2. FASHION SHOW: 6-8 participants are allowed to participate. Time allowed 4-6 minutes. Own Theme. Props are allowed.
3. WEST. GROUP DANCE: 6-8 participants are allowed to participate. Time allowed 4-6 minutes. The songs or instrumental music is strictly western. Props are allowed.
4. FOLK GROUP DANCE (BOYS): 6-8 participants. Time allowed 6-8 minutes. Recorded or live music is allowed. Any no. of accompanists are allowed to perform.
5. FOLK GROUP DANCE (GIRLS): 6-10 Participants. Time allowed 6-8 minutes. Recorded or live music is allowed. Any no. of accompanists are allowed to perform.
6. CHOREOGRAPHY: 6-8 participants. Time allowed 6-8 minutes. Own Theme and it will be depicted by songs and music. There will be negative marks for copied or has been a performed earlier theme. Props are allowed.
SOLO EVENTS
SOLO DANCE: One student per team is allowed to perform. Top 10 shortlisted performers are allowed to perform for the final positions. Time allowed 3-5 minutes. Own live or recorded music is allowed.
INSTRUMENTAL SOLO: One student per team is allowed. Time allowed is 3-5 Minutes. One professional accompanist is allowed.
WESTERN SOLO SONG: One student per team is allowed. Time allowed 3-5 Minutes. Only English songs are considered western. Two professional accompanists are allowed. Recorded music is also allowed.

FINE ARTS EVENTS
RANGOLI: One participant per team is allowed. Time allowed is 2 hours. Participants bring their own material and accessories like colors, diya, narial and statue etc. Own theme.
FACE PAINTING: One participant per team is allowed. Time allowed is 2 hours. Participants bring their own material like colors and brushes. Own theme.
CARTOONING: One participant per team is allowed. Time allowed is 2 hours. Participants bring their own material. College provides charts. Theme is provided on the spot.
CANVAS PAINTING: A Canvas is provided by the college to all the teams. The size of the Canvas is 24” × 36”. Two weeks time is given to paint it. Teams are allowed to paint the Canvas within the Campus only and teacher in charge of each class take care for the same. Own theme.
