PCTE – IHM Organised Hospitality Olympics 2018
PCTE Institute of Hotel Management organized a mega event called “Hospitality Olympics 2018”, which included various events like Young Master Chef Competition, Cocktail and Mocktail Competition, “Fold the Unfold”, Remember the Rose, The Dust Bunny Competition, EXPLOREINDIA, The Globetrotter, and TRAYRATHON. Students from about 13 colleges participated in the event which included colleges like Chitkara University, Lovely Professional University, CT University, Chandigarh University, Punjab Agricultural University, GNA University, CGC Landran etc.
Chef Vikas Grover, Executive Chef Park Plaza, Ludhiana and Mr.Sreeup Chaudary, Vice President, Maya Hotels Group, Ludhiana were the honorable Chief Guests of the day. In Young Master Chef Competition 1st position was grabbed by Chandigarh University followed by PAU and Global Institute for the Third Position .In Cocktail and Mocktail Competition Chitkara University bagged the first position followed by GNA University bagging the second position and Chandigarh University were the third position holder. In Globetrotter- Innocent Heart bagged the First and Third Position followed by GNA University and in the second Position. In Fold the Unfold by GNA University won the First position followed by PAU and Pyramid College in Second and Third Position.
Prof. Anirban Gupta, Dean, PCTE – IHM said “I am impressed to see the amount of creativity that today’s generation holds wherein PCTE-IHM students launched a new theme of interiors in the housekeeping department whereby he further praised the efforts made by the students from other colleges to come and to participate in the event and added that the main motive for conducting events like this enhances the skills of our students and give them practical exposure to what they study.
Dr. K.N.S.Kang, Director General, PCTE Group of Institutes congratulated the winners of the event and the IHM faculty along with the students for successfully hosting the event. He further added by saying that it isn’t about wining or loosing, but it’s about participating, learning and cherishing the everlasting memories that they have created during the event.
