Yuvraj Sharma Student of PCTE Institute of Hotel Management was declared Star Chef of Punjab 2012

Yuvraj Sharma, student of third Year of PCTE, Inst of Hotel Management and Catering technology won Star Chef of Punjab Award 2012,Categary C-Culinary student at FCI, Hosiarpur. The Competition was organized by Food Craft Institute Hoshiarpur under the close guidance and technical partnership from hotel and Tourism Industry associations of Punjab. In the final competition eight winners of prelimmary rounds from various districts of Punjab participated and competed for the overall title.   The winner of the title was given cash award of Rs 25,000, Trophy and certificate. Prof Tahir Sufi, Director of the hotel Management institute appreciated the achievement of the student. He said that it is the hard work of the faculty that has provided students with the skills, so that they can compete with the best in the Industry.

In the final round there was basket cookery, out of which Yuvraj prepared Ludhianavi Murg Tari Wala as Non vegetarian main course, Navrattan Mix as Vegetarian Main course and Paneer Kher Ludhianavi  as  desert.

Dr K.N.S. Kang, Director General, PCTE Group of Institutes congratulated the winner, students, faculty and staff of Hotel Management Inst of PCTE. He said that Hotel Management Inst PCTE has got best of trainers in the field of hotel mgt. He further said that lot of effort  are  done in imparting practical training to the students  which in turn has helped them in gaining good jobs in  leading brands of Hotels in the country.
