International student’s week started at PCTE

Punjab College of Technical Education is organizing International student’s festival at its campus. Event is a week long festival, started on 12th March 2012. In the festival various sports competitions   among Indian and foreign student will be organized. Sports events in which Indian and foreign students will participate are Pool, Volley ball, Basketball and Football. The festival will end with cultural extravaganza in which all the foreign students will showcase the spirit of cultural diversity and brotherhood among the different countries.

On the first day of festival in Pool competition, foreign students won the competition by wining two frames to one in best of three frames competition.  On the second day Volleyball matches and on third and fourth day of the festival basketball and football marches   will be organized.

On the occasion, Dr K.N.S. Kang, Director General, PCTE group of institutes said that PCTE has 90 foreign students from different countries like Cameroon, Rwanda, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Mozambique, Uganda, Afghanistan and Bhutan   who are studying in different courses at PCTE. Dr Kang further said that such events promote sense of brotherhood and team spirit among the students. He said that it’s a great opportunity for Indian students as well to learn and compare themselves with foreign students which in turn will prepare them to take bigger challenges in the global competitive world.
