PCTE Group of Institutes organized “Global Village” with the theme “Travel across the World in 60 Minutes.” The atmosphere at PCTE was truly pan-continental as youths from countries as diverse as France, Ukraine, Lithuania, Japan, China, Taiwan, Indonesia, Columbia shared their culture. Around 100 international students and trainees gathered to share and explore each others’ culture and tradition at PCTE.

AIESEC, which is the world’s largest student-run organization, has recently initiated a chapter in Ludhiana with PCTE Group of Institutes. It will help students from abroad to come to PCTE and PCTE students to visit other countries where AIESEC has a chapter. In the “Global Village”, students showcased the vibrant colors of various customs and traditions of their countries to all the students of PCTE. The foreign students of PCTE also participated with great enthusiasm. An array of cultural performances and country booths were set up to break the geographical barriers, providing a platform for the students to meet different people, and to experience international folklore, music and performances from around the world.

Dr. K.N.S.Kang, Director General, PCTE Group of Institutes, on this occasion said, “These kinds of events should be encouraged as for Global awareness and to know more about our environment as we are part of it and we are the ones to take it forward. PCTE has students from all around the world and an association with AIESEC shall add to the exposure of our students.” He further added that diversity in the world is a basic characteristic of human society, and also the key condition for a lively and dynamic world as we see today.
